If you’re staying near Notre-Dame or Opéra Garnier, you’re in a great spot to explore Paris on foot. Walking from these areas to the Eiffel Tower is a beautiful way to experience the city. I've changed the route from the Opera a bit so you can see more, screenshots on Google Maps.
From Notre-Dame, stroll along the Seine River, cross through Pont Alexandre III, and you’ll reach the Eiffel Tower in about 1 hour depending on your pace. Along the way, you can stop by Musée d’Orsay, Les Invalides, or simply enjoy the riverside views.
From the Opéra Garnier, a walk (about 1 hour and 15 minutes) will take you past La Madeleine, the Place de la Concorde, across the Champs-Élysées, Grand Palais & Petit Palais to Palais de Chaillot and the Trocadéro Gardens, where you can admire a picture-postcard view of the Eiffel Tower, and after that, you can cross the Pont d'Iéna bridge and reach the Eiffel Tower.
Considering the scenic spots along the way, a more realistic and enjoyable travel time is between 3 and 4 hours.
