Hello to everyone, this is Walking to the Heart of the 7th. Let's start. If you are staying near Place de la République, this 6.7 km/4,1 miles walking route is the ultimate way to see Paris. While the walking time is about 1 hour and 40 minutes, you should budget 3 to 4 hours to truly enjoy the photos and atmosphere. Start your journey at Place des Victoires, a regal circular plaza, before wandering into the serene Jardin du Palais Royal to see the iconic Buren’s Columns. From there, walk through the Louvre courtyard to admire the Glass Pyramid, passing directly under the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. Instead of staying in the park, exit the Louvre and cross Pont Royal. This bridge offers a stunning view of the Seine and the Musée d'Orsay. Pont Alexandre III: Walk along the riverbank to reach this golden bridge. It is the most ornate in Paris, perfect for photos of the Eiffel Tower in the distance, 15 min. Finally, finish your walk on Rue de l'Université, where the classic Haussmann buildings perfectly frame the Eiffel Tower for the ultimate "money shot" photo. It’s a 6.7 km stroll that captures the very best of Paris in a single path.
Useful Tip: The "Framed" Tower. The very end of Rue de l'Université is where the buildings seem to "open up" to reveal the Eiffel Tower right in front of you. It’s one of the most famous photo spots in the world.
Useful Tip: Since you are passing the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, look through the center of the arch. On a clear day, you can see the Obelisk, the Champs-Élysées, and the big Arc de Triomphe all lined up in one perfect view!
