Walking Paris: From Pigalle to the City’s Greatest Landmarks

Discover Paris on Foot from Pigalle

Updated: 25.12.2025

Staying in Montmartre, somewhere near Pigalle station, means you’re a little uphill from the center, but perfectly placed for long, beautiful walks that are the Paris experience. For those who like to explore the city on foot. So get ready for cobbled streets, cozy cafés that seem made for people-watching. So, how far will you actually be from Paris’s biggest stars, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and all that good stuff? As I mentioned earlier, mornings are my preference, though evenings work too. For a photo shoot, a more realistic and pleasant time period is 3-4 hours. Let's take a look at the main places.
