  • Campidoglio - Capitoline Hill or the Capitolium, located between the Forum and the Campus Martius, is one of the Seven Hills of Rome. The hill was earlier known as Mons Saturnius, dedicated to the god Saturn. The Capitoline Hill, the smallest of all the hills of Rome, rises near the south bank of the Tiber, northwest of the Palatine Hill.

New time - In the years 1536-1538, Michelangelo developed a plan for the design of Campidoglio, which, with some deviations, was carried out in the next 100 years and gave the Capitol Hill its present appearance.
